Microsoft Education and our third-party partners understand that the flow of teaching and learning occasionally crosses solution boundaries. We work to provide seamless experiences to keep educators and learners focused on their goals, rather than having to juggle tools. We’re integrating Microsoft products wherever teaching and learning occurs, including within and alongside Learning Management Systems (LMS).

We’ve worked with our LMS partners to create a suite of tools using the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standard that brings the best of Microsoft directly into your LMS.

LTI links for IT Admins:

Connect Microsoft apps with leading LMSs to empower teachers and students to enhance communication, collaboration, and content creation within their familiar LMS environment while leveraging the power of Microsoft tools for streamlined workflows and improved learning outcomes. These LMSs include Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard Learn, Brightspace, and Moodle.

Our LTIs enable students and staff to access and use some of our most popular educational tools such as OneNote Class Notebook, Teams Meetings, Immersive Reader, and which allows embedding of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for viewing from within your LMS experience

LTI links For Educators:

The resources below provide educators with information on how to integrate Microsoft LTI tools with a variety of learning management systems (LMS). The main LTI support page provides an overview of LTI and how it can be used to integrate learning tools with different LMS. The other links provide specific documentation for integrating Microsoft LTI tools with Canvas, Schoology Learning, Blackboard Learn, Brightspace by D2L, and Moodle.

Have any feedback to share with us? As always, we’d love to hear it!
We are always looking to improve the education experience, and our favorite way to do that is with your support and awesome ideas! If there is something you would like to see for LTI, or any overall comments and feedback, please let us know!
